Play time
Over the past few weeks, McKenna has started to notice Lucy a lot more. Every time she sees Lulu she gets so excited. She happily screams, kicks her feet and "coos" at her. Lucy of course adores her as well. She is my second little mommy. When the baby starts to cry she is the first in the room or the first one to get me. We love our Lucy!
The "Maker" and The Burp Face
I was in the kitchen making dinner a few nights ago when Madi runs in, her princess cape in front of her. She says to me "mommy mommy look I'm a Maker." I looked at her and said "You mean a Baker" and she says "Yeah." It was pretty cute.
That same night I was burping McKenna and this is the face she always gives when we burp her. I think it's always adorable so I had to share it with everyone.
She finally slept through the night!!
So, we had an off night with McKenna last Thursday. No matter what we did she was not a happy camper. I could tell she had a belly ache by the way she would tense up. I tried to cuddle her, burp her, rub her belly. She didn't want any of those so I took her for a drive and that didn't work. On the way home from the drive, I called Adam to warm up a bottle because I needed a break. He fed her and in the middle of her bottle she let it out, farts and all. She was quite content after that.
We swaddled her with these neat blankets we found at Target and she slept through the night for the first time!!!! She fell asleep about 2:00am and slept until 9:30 am. Okay I know some of you are thinking, that's not sleeping through the night, but trust me for this house hold it is. McKenna and even Madi, when she was a baby, woke every 3-4 hours to eat.

Daycare Blahs
So I am at home because of the new baby but we still thought it was important that Madi see her friends some days of the week at Ms. Anns. Well we let her go last week, on Wed and Thurs. She was so happy to see her best friend Erin, who came Thurs. She told us stories of how they painted each others nails and played outside. Well here comes Friday and her dad and I notice a spot on her chest. I didn't think anything of it at the time. On Sunday we went to Disneyland and standing in line that's when I noticed it. She had three spots on her face, three on her chest, three on the left arm, and two on the right arm. It dawned on me.....RINGWORM!!!!!!! Adam asked if I was sure and I told him I was positive. So we left Disneyland and went and bought antifungal cream and Oust surface sanitizer, we pretty much cleaned every surface of the house, and called the Dr. Sure enough the Dr. told us yes it was ringworm and what we were doing for treatment was perfect. Adam made sure to tell me that I better not die on him because he would not have thought about it being rinworm. She could have gotten it anywhere, yes, but I have no doubts she got it from one of the newer kids at daycare.
My Sleeping Beauties
So Cute
We finally filled the stroller
We always knew we would have at least two kids, so when we were in the market for a new stroller, we went with a double stroller. Now mind you, this stroller purchase was about two years ago. We've used it a ton with Madi and were always asked the question, "Where is the other baby." Well, at last the other baby is finally here to fill the other side! Aren't they to cute?

Our 4 Year Anniversary!!
On Friday August 14th, we celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We have known each other since high school and have had many ups and downs, but what couple doesn't. He is the greatest husband and father of our two little girls. I am glad to share my life with such an awesome guy and wouldn't trade one minute of it. His sister, Nicole, watched Madisyn and Mckenna for us so we could finally go on our first date since Mckenna was born. We had so much fun together as always. Thank you Nicole and Craig for watching our girls, we all love you guys!

The many ways she can sleep
Madi's first Haircut
Madisyn had her hair trimmed for the first time ever!!! My dad gets his haircut from the neighbors daughter, Jennifer. Madi and I tagged along to see how much she would charge for Madi. She said she would do it for nothing but I, of course, was going to give her something. As my dad got his haircut Madi and I went to my parents to get some money and the camera. On our way down the street Madi runs after me and says "Mom, are you sure it's not gonna hurt." It took some convincing and her to see Pop get his cut before she would. She did Great!! and the best part, her hair is even in the back now.....Yea!
My Hubby
Madisyns best friend
Madi is getting her nails painted while her friend Indie watchs on
Madi being silly with Grandma
Madisyn adores her Grandma. Every time we head off for Grandmas house she gets so excited and is the first to be ready and the first to be in the car. Even when she falls asleep in the car somehow she knows, when we pull up to Grandmas house, that we are their. She wakes up right away, jumps out of the car, and runs up to the door saying "Grandma, Grandma, Grandma" the whole way. She never wants to leave Grandmas house and wants nothing to do with mom or dad while she is their. Madi is so lucky to have such a great Grandma!!! We love you alot.
McKenna meets her Great Grandpa Jim
A few weeks ago we met my Grandpa and his wife Ann up at the cabin in Big Bear. We were all so excited to see eachother as this was the first time they both met McKenna. We all had a blast up there hanging around the cabin, eating dinner, which was delicious, and just getting away from the heat. We love you both!!

Zoe's Baby Naming Ceremony
On August 1st, our new niece, Zoe, had her Baby Naming Ceremony. Zoe is the daughter of my brother in law, Justin and his wife, Emily. This was the very first time we were able to meet each others baby and it was so exciting. Zoe was born June 24th, 2009 and McKenna was born 4 days later, June 28th, 2009. It's going to be fun watching them grow up together!

My poor Lula Bell
This is Lucy after Adam, her cute face is gone!
So Adam decided he was going to give Lucy, our schnauzer, a haircut. I always have taken her to a groomer but he didn't want me to this time around. He said he felt pretty confidant that he could do a good of a job as them. I should have listened to my instincts.
Do they look alike?
Ode to the Joys of being a mom
Yesterday, we came home from the Mall and the neighbors were out. They wanted to see Mckenna but I had to feed her first so I told them I would bring her over once we were done. I had no idea this was going to be such an ordeal. First, we came in and I sat on the chair to feed her. As she was eating she decided to poop too. So, as I sit her up to burp her I feel something wet on my pants, it leaked through her diaper!. I take her upstairs and lay her on her changing table. I proceed to change the diaper and she conveniently decides to pee while her diaper is off. Of course it goes through the little pee pad onto her changing pad and all over the bottom of her shirt. As I sit her up, to take her shirt off, she spits up. So, now I put her on the floor, put a diaper on her, and change the table padding. I bend down to pick her up and notice she peed again and it leaked through her diaper again! So, I put a new diaper on her, pick her up, sit in the rocking chair, and continue to feed her. I again, sit her up to burp her and she projectile vomits all over me, all over the chair, and all over the floor. Being a mom is sometimes not to pretty.
Three year olds, ugh!
Madisyn, our three year old, knows just how to push moms buttons. Her room always looks like a tornado ripped through it and every night I am cleaning the same toys up. I told her that when she is done with one toy to put it away before she gets another one out. Apparently, she decided to just start fresh in a new room. I went upstairs to get an outfit for Mckenna and all of Madi's play foods were in Mckenna's room. I told her to pick up her toys and put them in her own room. Her response to this was " But mom, my room is too messy. If I do dat (is how she says that) I won't be able to play." You gotta love them.
